About Rosen Method: Rosen Method Bodywork is a gentle form of therapeutic healing touch that accesses the unresolved feelings and emotions that get held within the body through muscle tension. Our shape, form and body posture tell the story of our lives. Tightly held muscles literally hold us back in life. The effort it takes to hold our muscles in protective or guarded ways takes an enormous amount of energy. This bodywork addresses the unconscious muscular holdings in the body allowing the release of muscular tension and creating the opportunity to heal. By relaxing chronic muscle tension and holding patterns, the breath becomes free to move and expand. Through this body/mind approach to healing we unlock our personal potential, acknowledge our authentic selves and reclaim our dreams.

Many experience reduced anxiety and stress, muscle relaxation, increased clarity and insight, and a deepening awareness of the body/mind connection.

What might you get from attending a Rosen Introductory Workshop?
If you are like many people, you may have no idea how taking time to go to a Rosen workshop can possibly be of benefit to you. After all, you are not planning to become a Rosen bodywork practitioner or any other kind of bodywork therapist,so. . . what’s in it for you?
In Rosen we use touch to connect.
Do you sometimes feel like you’re not even really connected with yourself? You are probably VERY busy, lots of demands on your time and attention, deadlines, immersed in high tech communications?? Like taffy you’re being pulled and “stretched” to thin limits.
Are you wanting to reconnect with your partner? Due to all the distractions, obligations, responsibilities and all the demands that are put on our time and attention it’s no wonder why we can pretty easily lose intimacy and a sense of intimate connection with our partner. When that happens, we have most likely also lost the intimacy and sense of intimate connection with ourselves.
So, it may be time to reconnect, recharge, regenerate. Giving ourselves the time and space to connect deeply with ourselves can be one of the greatest gifts we can give to ourselves.
The kind of touch we do in Rosen is a kind of touch that helps us first to reconnect with ourselves. Slow down, relax, feel your body, there’s nothing to do, and nobody is “doing” anything to you or wanting anything from you. WOW—imagine that? Nobody wants anything from you and you don’t’ have to DO anything?! It’s a time to really feel yourself from the inside out.
What a gift you could give yourself of slowing down and just being with yourself. We need to first be with ourselves — reconnect with ourselves — in order to truly be with another person.
Do you feel like you are not fulfilling your life’s purpose? What? What, you say, I have no idea what my life purpose is! Maybe you are just way too busy trying to cope with all life’s demands – yikes – can’t keep up, just trying to keep in step with the ever-increasing speed of the treadmill.
Please consider using this workshop as an opportunity for personal growth and as a vehicle for developing a deeper more meaningful relationship with yourself. Through the process of slowing down, relaxing into yourself from the inside out, and deeply listening to your body-mind connection oftentimes clarity, direction, motivation and creativity are found. This workshop can be the time and space needed to make that reconnection with yourself making your life richer and coming to a place of really feeling more “alive”!
Patricia Angelina, CMT, Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner and Movement Teacher
Hello, I’m Patricia Angelina and I welcome you to my blog!Honestly, I never imagined I’d be blogging. That’s just not me – I’m not a writer. However, I am willing to give it a try because I want to shout from the roof-tops about the work I do: ROSEN METHOD BODYWORK and MOVEMENT .
I’m a Rosen Method bodywork practitioner and movement teacher. I LOVE this method; it has transformed my life. I’ve been in the bodywork field for nearly 25 years and a practitioner of Rosen Method for 10 years.
This is a holistic process of bodywork and movement addressing the body, mind, spirit and emotions. In Rosen bodywork we use a particular method of touch that bypasses the thinking mind and touches deeply into the person, inviting you into a relaxed state being aware of your body sensations, emotions and feelings. You begin to learn to listen deeply to your body from the inside out. Habitual muscle tension and feelings that have not been expressed and have been held inside may be released allowing you to experience a greater sense of freedom and a renewed sense of well-being.
Rosen Method can help you find your joy
I’ve discovered that there aren’t many people who know about this method. I am passionate about it and I’m dedicated to finding a way to inform, educate, inspire and motivate you to learn aboutRosen Methodand maybe even find a practitioner, Rosen workshop, and a Rosen movement class too.
I believe one of the reasons that Rosen Method isn’t known about more widely is because many of us, Rosen practitioners, are struggling with finding ways to talk about it. So, I have a hope that by blogging I will reach a wider audience and help spread the word far and wide! I’m off and away now as I make my way into this foreign territory of blogging. I’m so glad you joined me!
